2) Impressions by the prize winner and comments on
his work
Thank you very much.
It is the first time for me to get a winner-prize
in a design competition for furniture.
In this work, when I sketch the figure of a chair
for sitting, I have the idea that the line in this
sketch keeps continuing. I think it is a good idea
to use this effect to make this product a directory
of imagination. I suggested this chair as an outside
chair with a simple form. When making three-dimensional
CG, it is very difficult to get a coil roll continuing
and keep the form of the chair. It is also difficult
when producing this chair, too. The part above ground
has the same form on the coordinate axis. I made it
crossing the next figure,
diagonally to the part touching the ground.
For protection from pinching when sitting, it has
necessarily some thickness that depends on stainless.
This strength must be independent. Actually, it can
be found a solution by inserting protective material.
