We are very sorry that the announcement of the result of the 2nd DESIGNTOPE
Design Competition has been delayed.

The announcement should have been made at the end of August after the User's
Voting. However, we had to reexamine the voting condition since there were
a large number of unfair votings.

Once again, we are deeply sorry for the trouble this might have caused.

We would like to inform you of the details of the User's Voting.
When the User's Voting was closed and we counted the votes for the first
time,we found out that some voters misused numbers of free e-mail addresses
i n order to vote for some particular designs.

We assumed that those were the votes of non-confidence.

Please refer to the following to see how we worked on this trouble.

August 16: E-mailed all the voters to inform this trouble. Requested
them a responses to reconfirm the information.

September 4: After receiving voters' replies, we spoiled all the votes
of nonconfidence, which were sent out from the misused free e-mail
addresses.

September 9: Count the votes for the second time.

The total votes were 3108 and 1271 were the votes of confidence.

While we were disappointed with some voters' unfair votings, we would
consider about introducing a better voting system in order not to cause
these troubles never again in the future.
